i think easily the funniest thing that could happen in atn is gideon and alecto having a full on rivalry.
i mean, alecto would kiss harrow’s reflection because she thought it was so beautiful. she thinks redheads are ugly. she made out with harrow and then devoted herself in her service. she bitch slapped gideon’s bff. she stabbed gideon’s dad. The possibilities are ENDLESS
I know I’m being an insufferable worldbuilding nerd here, but my basic metric for evaluating media with very inhuman protagonists is “how easily can one offer a complete and coherent account of this media’s plot without ever mentioning the fact that the protagonist is, for example, a talking car?”. The harder it is, the higher it scores.
My roommates boyfriend is a cis male business student who is still figuring out the whole “having a trans partner” thing. He struggles with the whole they/them thing but we don’t really mind because the boy is clearly trying is heart out, and we all appreciate that.
He recently told me that he puts “nonbinary” on his insurance forms because, and I quote “they give you a lower premium if you’re not a man.”
He thought it was funny in a “I found a fun insurance loophole that I shall share with these be-prononed folks!” Kinda way.
I was losing my shit because this cis man is literally Transgender for insurance reasons.
Also I have absolutely zero idea if being nonbinary actually gets you lower premiums but he told me that was true and thats funny enough for me.

hey so when earth gave god his necromancy it first manifested as a complete halt on the decay of bodies, right? specifically the bodies he touched the most, the ones he loved the most. because the world so loved god, because god so loved the world.
and then gideon nav’s body also refuses to rot in a way that is directly paralleled with those first bodies. and who might’ve loved her that much? who is also beloved of earth’s revenant?
